The Gardens at Pathhead
There’s something special about food you’ve watched grow. At Pathhead, our gardens are the quiet heart of the farm—where seeds become suppers, weeds are part of the charm, and there’s always something in bloom (even if it’s just a muddy footprint or two).
We grow a wide range of fruit, vegetables, herbs, and flowers throughout the seasons, using organic principles and good old-fashioned know-how. Our market garden supplies the café and farm shop with fresh, zero-mile produce—and you’re welcome to come and have a look around.
What We Grow

From curly kale to cut flowers, what you see in the beds depends on the time of year (and what the weather’s been up to). But you’ll often find:
- Salad leaves, herbs, and brassicas
- Root veg and soft fruits
- Rhubarb, apples, courgettes, beans
- Dahlias, sunflowers, and seasonal blooms
We also have a greenhouse and a few undercover tunnels where the more delicate crops like tomatoes and cucumbers get their time to shine.
Come Have a Wander
Visitors are welcome to explore the garden during opening hours. You can:
- See what’s growing and in season
- Watch us hard at work (or catching our breath with a cuppa)
- Ask questions about our methods or what’s available in the shop
- Take a few moments in the peace and quiet of the growing space
Please do stick to the paths and respect the plants—many are destined for someone’s plate!
A Growing Space with Purpose
Our garden isn’t just about growing food—it’s about creating a space that’s nourishing for people too. We believe in seasonal eating, low-impact living, and the kind of hands-in-the-earth connection that brings a little calm back into the day.
