The Bothy is a cosy, character-filled cottage tucked on the edge of our working farm and equestrian centre—just a five-minute stroll from the red sandstone streets of Kirriemuir. With space for two to four guests, it’s the perfect base for a rural retreat, a creative break, or a romantic weekend away.
Your stay
The Bothy has a simple cottage style with everything you need to settle in and feel at home. Inside, you’ll find:
- An open-plan kitchen and living area
- A wood-burning stove (with logs provided for your arrival )
- A comfy double sofa bed in the lounge
- A compact mezzanine bedroom with a king-sized bed
- A walk-in shower with brilliant water pressure (you’ll thank us later!)
There’s also a TV, stereo, WiFi, and plenty of soft furnishings to make your stay extra comfy. The space sleeps two as standard, but the sofa bed offers flexibility for up to four.
Please note: the stairs to the mezzanine are steep and may not be suitable for young children or those with mobility needs.

Explore the farm
You’ll have your own key and are free to come and go as you please. The Bothy sits peacefully at the edge of the farm—far enough from the stables if horses aren’t your thing, but close enough to say hello if they are. You’re welcome to wander the tracks, meet the animals, or sit and enjoy the views.
We also offer 20% off horse riding lessons and treks for our guests—just ask when booking.
Explore the area
Kirriemuir is just minutes away on foot, and packed with local pubs, ice cream shops, and independent cafés. There’s a great little local, the Kerymor Tavern, just down the road.
We’re also perfectly placed for exploring the Angus Glens, with buses to Forfar and Dundee right outside the gate.
