Stay with Us at Pathhead Farm

Welcome to your countryside escape. Our two self-catering holiday cottages—The Dairy and The Bothy—are nestled within the peaceful grounds of our working farm in Angus. Whether you're here for a quiet break, an equestrian weekend, or a base to explore the beauty of the glens and coastline, you'll find comfort, calm, and a warm welcome waiting.

Expect open skies, gentle paddocks, friendly animals, and all the little touches that make a stay memorable.

Farm Stays with Heart

Each of our cottages has been thoughtfully furnished to offer a relaxed and cosy space to call your own. The Dairy includes a private hot tub for stargazing and unwinding after a long walk. The Bothy, full of rustic charm, offers a snug, peaceful retreat.

Both are dog-friendly, fully self-contained, and set apart to give you privacy while still being just a short stroll to the farm café, shop, and gardens.

Life on the Farm

When you stay at Pathhead, you're more than a visitor—you’re part of the place. Wander through our gardens, enjoy a homemade meal in the café, or book a riding experience. There's always something going on, and you're welcome to join in or simply watch the world go by.

What’s on-site:

  • Farm café and shop with homegrown produce and homemade food
  • Secure dog park available to book during your stay
  • Riding school, pony experiences, and scenic hacking
  • Seasonal events throughout the year

Discover Kirriemuir & Beyond

Just a 5-minute walk from The Bothy, the rural town of Kirriemuir is full of character, charm, and friendly faces. Known as “The Wee Red Toon” for its striking red sandstone buildings, it’s also famously the gateway to the Angus Glens—a dream for walkers, nature lovers, and fans of a cosy country pub.

You’ll be within easy reach of:

  • Glen Clova, Glen Doll, Glen Prosen, Glen Isla & Glen Esk – all perfect for country walks
  • Friendly local pubs, cafés, and independent shops
  • The charming Star Rock Shop (the oldest sweetie shop in Scotland)
  • Bon Scott (AC/DC) statue and Bonfest Weekend, celebrating Kirrie’s musical roots
